Museum im Schafstall
Concerts, cabaret, theatre and lots more
In 1991 the "Museum im Schafstall" was opened after extensive restoration work. The imposing mid-18th century building originally belonged to an estate of the Duchy of Württemberg which has been in municipal ownership since 1850. Today the former sheepfold houses is a memorial to the Mörike family, local historical exhibits and changing annual exhibitions. The local history society which operates the "Museum im Schafstall" together with Neuenstadt town council, not only holds exhibitions but also promotes concerts, cabaret and theatre productions as part of its "Kultur im Schafstall" (Culture in the Sheepfold) programme. The lovingly refurbished sheepfold with its small stage, gallery and mighty roof structure provides a richly atmospheric setting. Click here to visit the photo gallery
